Non-custodial

A design in which the user retains control of wallet keys. It does not eliminate protocol, contract or market risk.

Smart contract

Code deployed on a blockchain that can execute defined actions. Bugs, approvals and integrations can create risk.

DEX

A decentralized exchange where trades are executed through blockchain protocols rather than a conventional central order custodian.

Gas / network fee

The blockchain fee required to process a transaction. It can change with network conditions.

Seed phrase

The recovery words controlling a wallet. Anyone who obtains them can usually control the wallet.

Transaction hash

A blockchain identifier used to inspect and document a transaction.

Legacy Volume
